The making and breaking of New Year resolutions has become an ongoing process for us. We make resolutions to break them and never bother to care if we really meant them.
As the New Year 2012 has already approached us with much enthusiasm and jilt in the sky, most of us must have welcomed it with our open arms. Not to mention the eagerness and longings associated with its arrival. Majority of us must have made gigantic plans and taken several oaths and some of us will have really broken those resolutions even before you read this post. It is not at all, a bad idea to make New Year resolutions, but when you break it, it really hurts you and your purpose as well.
Here is a quote that describes the mental agony on breaking New Year resolutions,
Another one from Jay Leno,
“Now there are more overweight people in America than average-weight people. So overweight people are now average… which means, you have met your New Year's resolution.”
The fact staring us in our eyes is that our actions are lacking commitment and our spiritual powers are becoming blunt with the technology bug claiming most of the part of our brain. It is therefore, high time that we realize our buried potential and start making good use of it....... How?? I am here to help you out.
Making new year resolutions
Start by discovering the causes of your troubles
Majority of us just care to build up high ambitions leaving aside the smaller things that have the capacity to ruin or enlighten our lives. Look for those minor things that affect you and constantly pose a challenge to you. You will be amazed to see that there are quite a large amount of anomalies that go unnoticed and in turn, adversely affect your living.
Try finding the solution within
The power to perk up and amend is within you and no other person has the capacity to help you out on this matter. When you try finding the answer to your worries, keep in mind that there is no one to assist you. Relying on someone else for your own betterment means you are not serious in the first hand.
Keep it simple and straight forward
After you have correctly ascertained your key weaknesses and your best response to them, it is the time for you to make resolutions. Now, don’t devise plans to overnight convert you into another being. Instead, find realistic procedure that you can actually adhere to. Keep it simple and plain, something that you can understand and attain at the same time.
Stick to your task and make it happen
The hole and corner of success is how committed you are towards your goal. If you have made right promises to yourself and are honest about keeping them, you are right away going to enjoy the results. Under any condition, don’t become a victim of use and wont of breaking resolutions. They will actually someday pay you off more than what you stake.
The art of making resolutions carries no sense if you don’t bother to keep them. I hope and wish, you cut and carve your stiff-necked habits this New Year and finally pull off in making this year a really wonderful one. And would also like to reiterate the words of Oprah Winfrey for you,
“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”
